Fasting and month of Ramadan both do intercession for a human. Fasting will say respectfully O Allah I stopped him from eating and drinking in morning please accept my intercession and Quran will say respectfully I stopped him from sleeping at night please accept my intercession.
By the blessing of Allah عزوجل we are helpless, human creations of Allah and measly slave’s of Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. It is great consent of God that he has rewarded us with so many blessings and had given us such a great reward that we were born Muslims and we were given the duty of worshipping and he said that “I have created men and Genies for worshipping . And the great reward of Allah is that we were made followers of Prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم for who even the prophet prayed to be made HIS followers.
In Quran Allah has said that without doubt it is the great blessing of Allah that a prophet was sent from them.
As we know that how much a mother loves her child and doesn’t ask him to do useless and ineffective tasks. She always wants to succeed him in every field.
Allah Almighty who loves his creations more than 70 mother then how he can ask him to do ineffective and useless deeds. Whatever has been imposed to be done by God there are thousand hidden benefits. And Allah has asked us to do fasting but why were we given this task? So that we may become pious and full of character. And we collect blessings and advantages of fating. Now where there are many religious, worldly effects which are beneficial and advantageous as well. Now it is our good luck that how much blessing barakh and happiness of God we collect.
The religious advantages of fasting
1. Hadith Mubarik:Sehl bin saad رضی اللہ عنہ narrated that prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said “there is one door in heaven which is called Riyaan. On dooms day only fastener shall enter, no one else will enter. It will be shouted where are the fasteners? Then they will stand and enter, after that the doors will be closed then no one else will enter. Bukhari Muslim
2. Hadith Mubarik: both Quran and fasting will do intercession for person. Fasting will say YA ALLAH I stopped him from eating and drinking, please accept my healing. And Quran will also say O Allah I stopped him from sleeping. O merciful Allah please accept my intercession.
3. Hadith mubarik: when Ramadan comes then the doors of heaven open and the doors of hell are closed and daemons are bind in chains.
4. Hadith Mubarik: Allah the merciful frees about sixty thousand sinners from hell every night of Ramadan at the time of fast break. And on the day of Eid all sinners equaling to all times of holy Ramadan are forgiven, Subhan Allah
5. Hadith mubarik: Hazart Syedna Salma bin Akooh رضی اللہ عنہ narrated that prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said if someone did fasting for a day for the will of Allah then Allah will take him away from hell to such extent that a cow if starts to fly from the day of birth and flies till he gets old and dies.
6. Hadith Mubarik: that Muslim who stays hungry due to fasting and refrains from sins and does not confiscate money of others then Allah will make him eat fruit of heaven. Subhan Allah
7. Hadith Mubarik: Fastner’s prayer is not rejected.
8. Hadith Mubarik: smell of mouth of fastener on the day of doom according to Allah is more loved than holy fragrance of Musk
9. Master of two worlds Shah Bani Adam صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said that first ten days of this month are blessing, second is forgiveness and last one frees from hell. First pray of first ten days is
یَاحَیُّ یَاقَیُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِکَ اَسْتَغِیْثُ second for second ten days isرَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَ اَنْتَ خَیْرُ الرّٰحِمِیْنَ and third for last ten days is
اَللّٰھُمَّ اَجِرْنَا مِنَ النَّارِ
Some worldly advantages of fasting
it reduce weight of body
European technicians are continuously doing research eventually they have accepted that fasting gives new soul and energy to body.
Due to fasting the juices which come out of stomach become stable and during fasting acidity do not occur.
Fasting helps intestine to rest and provide energy.
A team of expert doctors from Germany, England and America came to Pakistan in month of Ramadan and they selected three cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad after survey the report they gathered was that since Muslims say prayers and follow it more in month of Holy Ramadan and do ablution for that that helps minimizes diseases of ENT which are ear nose and throat.
Due to less eating the diseases of stomach and liver are reduced
The priest of Holland AEIF GAAL says I asked patients of diabetes stomach liver to do fasting for thirty days and as a result the diabetic patients controlled sugar in blood. In patients of heart the problems of breathing and nervousness was minimized and stomach patients got most advantage
Today we still have a chance that we should follow the ways of Prophet Hood. If we accept science and then follow ways of prophet then what face we will show to our prophet. Moreover if we accept facts of science and accept those ways which have been told by our prophet PBUH then it is possible to get worldly benefits but advantages of religion or to keep hope of rewards and benefits is beyond understanding and a great stupidity
The punishment of not fasting
Hadith mubarik one who left fasting for a day without any medical reason shall burn in hell nine hundred thousand years اللھم احفظنا منہ Amen.
